I'm passionate about coaching professionals who want to advance their careers. If you're an individual contributor who hopes to become a people manager, or wants to eventually reach an executive level, responsible for multiple teams and disciplines, including PnL locally and globally, I can help.
I started my career as an individual contributor at Apple, and I advanced from a manager to an executive over a 25-year period.
I managed large organizations sucessfully because I had a strong desire to plan ahead, a passion for implementing changes that drove improvement, and a natural interest in mentoring others.
I learned to become a strong manager mainly by avoiding in myself the inappropriate behaviors I saw in bad managers.
Additionally, I learned to accept feedback. I attended many hours of managerial training, and quickly discovered how to apply my learnings at work with some modifications from my personal experiences.
I’ve hired, laid-off, and promoted many people. I've designed career paths for individuals, architected major company changes, presented for large audiences including executives, and led multiple projects across teams globally. I allowed myself to be vulnerable and took risks in order to move forward with my career.
As a coach, my goal is to help you cultivate the critical skillset you need to be a successful professional leader or manager of a large organization.
I currently offer two coaching programs:
An individual contributor or manager to an executive level.
An individual contributor to an executive level.
